Prospective authors are invited to submit a 1–2-page manuscript for presentation in the technical sessions. An abstract-only submission is also acceptable. A manuscript template will be available on the official conference website (http://www.icmdt.org) from October 2026. All manuscripts must be submitted online through the conference website by December 15, 2026. Submissions will be evaluated on the basis of their originality, technical quality, and significance. We warmly welcome researchers, engineers, and students from both academia and industry to take part in the conference.

Selected papers at the conference will be considered for publication as a special section in the international journal (JMST). Journal publication is only for the authors who express their intention at the time of regular abstract submission. Therefore, authors interested in the special section should indicate which journal they want to submit a full paper to when they submit a regular abstract on the online submission system.

Outstanding Oral Presentations and Poster Presentations at ICMDT 2027 will be recognized with awards from KSME and JSME. In addition to the on-site presentation, the submitted manuscript will also be evaluated during the award selection process and should contain solid results and figures.
For KSME members, outstanding presentations will be awarded the presentation awards of the Manufacturing and Design Engineering Division of KSME. Winners will be selected by the award committee based on the presentation and the submitted manuscript.
For JSME members, outstanding presentations will be awarded the MDT Division’s general awards (Certificate of Merit for Best Presenter and Certificate of Merit for Best Young Presenter). Presentations given by young JSME members are also eligible for JSME Fellowship Outstanding Presentation Award for Young Engineers. Authors who wish to be considered for the awards are strongly recommended to submit a 2-page manuscript with solid experimental results and figures.
